Long Vowel Digraphs: ai, ee, ea, oa, ow



Long a is sometimes spelled ai: paint.
Long e is sometimes spelled ee or ea: speech, feast.
Long o is sometimes spelled oa or ow: coast, arrow.
If a word has two vowels in a row, the first vowel is usually long, and the second vowel is silent.
